It is not common that the pop genre is associated with experimental music, but the three piece group from Hiroshima has been consistently pushing the boundaries of music since 2000. Blending heavy doses of autotune into synthpop, house music, and bubblegum pop music, Perfume's music has become a mainstay of the Japanese music scene over the past seventeen years, influencing countless other groups with five studio albums.

Mrs. Green Apple

Led by frontman Motoki Omori, rock group Mrs. Green Apple began in Tokyo in 2013. Gaining almost immediate fame for their contribution to the popular series, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V, the band began touring soon after and reached the tenth slot on the ORICON music charts (similar to the BillBoard Top 40) with their first studio album, TWELVE.
